- Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, will plead not guilty to fraud.
- The 30-year-old is slated to plead not guilty to eight charges, including wire fraud, in Manhattan federal court on Jan. 3.
- Bankman-Fried was detained in the Bahamas this month after the U.S. indicted him for misappropriating client funds at FTX.
- After being deported, the US court freed him on $250 million bail. In California, he is now living with his parents under house arrest.
