Alameda Files Lawsuit to Recoup $446 Million in Cryptocurrency Paid to Voyager

- Yet another lawsuit in the crypto sector, Alameda Research Ltd. on Monday filed a legal lawsuit in U.S. bankruptcy court against HTC Trading Inc and Voyager Digital LLC.
- According to the lawsuit, the defendants obtained preferential property transfers from Alameda Research, and the plaintiffs are suing Voyager and HTC for $445.8 million.
- As per the lawsuit, the transfers are recoverable as an administrative priority under sections 503 and 507 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
- In the lawsuit, Alameda requests that the court rule that the transfers “are avoidable preferential transfers” and “award [Alameda] no less than $445.8 million, in addition to any expenses expended.
