Ubisoft Launches Rabbids NFTs into Reddit

Ubisoft, a renowned name in the gaming world has launched Rabbids theme NFTs into Reddit to offer personalization of profils to users. These alien looking rabbit creatures were first launched in the mid 2000s and have also been featured in Nintendo’s Mario franchise. Now they are available to Reddit users which are acquirable as Polygon NFTs. These collectibles on Polygon display Rabbids in various poses and outfits.

The designs may vary from knights to unicorn. All the Rabbids come with a plunger. This is a way to honor the earlier Rabbid games where the plunger was the main weapon. Ubisoft NFTs may be a new buzz. In 2022, when Reddit released their own set of NFTs by the name of Snoo NFT, it gained rapid attention. Reddit released 13.5 million NFTs which have a total market cap of $32.6 million. In February, around 4 million new mints were recorded on the NFTs in a span of just 2 months.

What Does This Collaboration Signify?

The collaboration between Reddit and Ubisoft signifies a significant step towards the integration of NFTs within social media platforms, addressing the significance of digital ownership in these online spaces. Despite initial criticism for its Tezos NFTs in the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Ubisoft remains committed to exploring the potential of blockchain technology, their recent launch of Assassin’s Creed “Smart Collectibles” with Integral Reality Labs (IRL) demonstrates it well.

This ongoing partnership between Reddit and Ubisoft sets the stage for further advancements and integration of NFTs in the realm of social media, highlighting the growing importance of digital ownership in these platforms.
